Michael S. Orlikoff, Director; Educator and Musician

Michael has chosen a career dedicated to teaching Arizona's students. He has more than thirty years experience in public school music education and curriculum development. Michael has taught students in elementary, middle, high school and at the community college level. He earned his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Arizona State University along with administrative certification.

As the Founder of the Metro Pops Orchestra, a 501(c)(3) community based orchestra, Michael was also the conductor for sixteen years.

Having the opportunity to teach in a variety of positions, serving as the District fine arts coordinator, and volunteering in the community, has given Michael the distinct opportunity to see first hand the ever growing need to support public education. Promoting a college-going culture through service, devotion and unification of support will certainly foster excellence in our schools.

In addition to advocating for the arts and consulting, Michael is currently substitute teaching for the Paradise Valley Unified School District.
