WHAT is The Foundation for Public Education?

TFPE is a 501(c)3 public charity whose mission is to support PVUSD by fostering excellence in public education.  The Foundation's goals are aligned with the Paradise Valley Unified School District's Long Range Plan.

WHEN was The Foundation for Public Education established?

In the early months of 2005, interested parties began meeting to discuss the viability of a new foundation.  By June, 2005, the Board of Directors was in place, and Executive Board work sessions commenced.  TFPE launched its first fund drive in April, 2006.

WHERE is The Foundation for Public Education located?

TFPE's mailing address is 21001 N. Tatum Blvd Suite 1630-453 Phoenix, AZ 85050.  The staff can be reached by phone at 480-463-6383 or by e-mail at info@tfpe.org.

WHY does The Foundation for Public Education exist?

The Foundation envisions a future in which the Paradise Valley Unified School District becomes nationally distinguished by the quality and rigor of the education it affords every dedicated student.

The Foundation seeks to attain results by:

  • Marshaling private funding and other resources.
  • Driving innovative, sustainable programs designed to enhance academic quality in ways that can be readily measured.
  • Promoting a "college-going" culture among all stakeholders.

"Thank you for all you do for the teachers and students of PVUSD.  It affects the entire community."

Karen J. Martin,
